The Georgia Department of Driver Services says it’s reaching out to commercial drivers whose federal medical certifications are past due.
Officials say more than 25,000 Georgia commercial drivers still need to complete their federal medical clearances within 60 days or risk having their commercial drivers’ licenses disqualified and canceled.
Department officials say 92 percent of more than 314,300 Georgia commercial drivers have completed the new medical certification process by Jan. 30, 2014.
