With the 2014 hurricane season starting this weekend, the S.C. Department of Insurance is holding its annual information session and public hearing for coastal property owners.
The session on Thursday evening at Mark Clark Hall at The Citadel will include discussion of such topics as this year’s hurricane outlook, the status of the state Wind and Hail Underwriting Association and the status of the National Flood Insurance Program.
Raymond Farmer, the director of the state Department of Insurance, will also take questions and hear comments from the public during the two-hour session.
