W. R. Berkley Corporation announced the appointment of Gerald B. Bushey as president of Carolina Casualty Insurance Group, a W. R. Berkley Company.
Bushey succeeds Douglas J. Powers, who is retiring.The appointment is effective immediately.
Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Carolina Casualty writes intermediate and long-haul trucking, and business and public auto.
Bushey has more than 40 years of experience in the property casualty insurance industry and has been Carolina Casualty’s vice president of underwriting since 2009.
