An interactive CrimeMapping website lets Biloxi residents and business owners see where crime is occurring in the Mississippi city.
Police Chief John Miller tells The Sun Herald Biloxi and Gulfport are the only two departments in the state that use this website, he said.
Miller says the website is a way for law enforcement to be transparent with the public.
Users can search for types of crime such as arson and burglary, by date, address or for gun crimes.
Miller says no information is provided on homicides or on sexual assaults.
