A sentencing hearing is Monday for a woman who pleaded guilty to lying about her primary residence to receive federal disaster aid after tornados hit Mississippi in April 2011.
Tamya H. Jones and Jevon O. Thomas were indicted last May on two counts each.
Jones pleaded guilty January 30. Charges against Thomas were dismissed.
The indictment in the case says Jones claimed that a house in Sledge was her primary residence after a Presidential Disaster Declaration was issued on April 27, 2011. A serious of tornados had ripped across the South that month.
The court records say Jones applied for aid from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, but lied about the primary residence.
