West Viriginia small businesses and private nonprofits affected by severe storms last summer can still apply for federal disaster loans.
June 19 is the deadline to apply for economic injury disaster loans offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration. The loans are available to small businesses and private nonprofit organizations in 36 counties covered by a federal disaster declaration.
The SBA said Monday that loans of up to $2 million are available. Interest rates are 3 percent for private nonprofit organizations and 4 percent for small businesses.
The loans can be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other expenses.
