A family is suing over a fatal crash involving a bus that was carrying University of Alabama cheerleaders back to campus after the national championship football game in January.
A statement released Thursday by the Beasley Allen law firm says relatives of 20-year-old Natalie Baine of Roswell, Ga., filed suit in Montgomery.
Authorities say Baine was a passenger in a pickup truck that was traveling back to Tuscaloosa after the title game.
Police at the time said the vehicle carrying Baine turned in front of the bus, resulting in the collision.
Baine’s estate is suing the bus company, Capitol Motor Lines, and its driver. The suit also names the driver of the truck in which Baine was riding, the vehicle’s owner and another motorist.
Baine also attended Alabama.
