Authorities say a Williamson County, Tenn., teenager was killed when the golf cart he was riding in crashed into a brick-encased mailbox.
Tennessee Highway Patrol spokeswoman Dalya Qualls tells The Tennessean that the accident occurred around 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
She said four teenagers – all under 16 – were riding down a steep hill on the golf cart when its right rear tire blew out, causing the cart to go sideways and hit the mailbox.
The teenager killed was 15 years old. His name has not been released.
Qualls said the others suffered serious injuries and were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.
