Authorities say a group of escaped cows are to blame for five vehicle crashes in Newton County, Ga.
Sheriff’s officials tell WSB-TV that the cows got loose from their pasture Thursday morning and wandered into the road near Highway 278 and Highway 142.
Authorities say that some of the cows were struck by vehicles, but they could not confirm how many of the animals were killed or had to be put down.
There were no reports of any people injured in the wrecks.
