Officials from Iredell County north of Charlotte to Alleghany County on the Virginia border reported a couple of inches of hail fell late Saturday and early Sunday.
State Highway Patrol troopers say none of the accidents reported on Interstate 77 and Highway 115 caused injuries.
Ron Hellard says his Davie County home was pounded by hail before dawn Sunday and some of his neighbors found leaks in their roofs.
