The city of Biloxi is moving forward with major improvements to two fire station roofs to protect them from storm winds.
WLOX-TV reported that the replacement roofing will be able to withstand wind speeds of 155 miles per hour. About $1.1 million in federal funds are being used for the upgrades.
The roofs on other two stations have been prepped for the upgrades. The overall project is expected to be complete early next year.
