Police have charged a 78-year-old Corbin man who they say forced his older brother and sister’s van off a road and into a parked service van.
The incident occurred Monday in Rockcastle County on Ky. 461 near Mount Vernon.
Police charged Clyde White with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of wanton endangerment, according to WKYT-TV in Lexington.
Investigators said White was chasing his 82-year-old brother and 83-year-old sister, Lawrence White and Dorothy Whitaker, down Interstate 75 at speeds up to 100 mph. Police said Clyde White bumped his siblings’ vehicle several times, finally forcing it off the road and into the parked van.
The elder siblings were airlifted to University of Kentucky Hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the service van wasn’t hurt.
