A high school student injured in a locker room incident last year is suing the Logan County Board of Education.
David and Robin Cantrell filed the lawsuit on behalf of their son, Justin. He was a sophomore on the Man High School football team when the incident occurred in September 2010.
The incident occurred before football practice in a doorway that separates underclassmen and upperclassmen. David Cantrell says his son had swollen testicles, bruised ribs and head wounds and bled from his ears. He says the locker room wasn’t supervised.
The Logan Banner reports the lawsuit reqests a jury trial and seeks unspecified damages.
The Board of Education says it wasn’t negligent in the incident and has filed a third-party complaint against other players who allegedly were involved.
