Winn-Dixie Recalls Bakery Items in Alabama Stores

Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. is voluntarily recalling three items from its in-store bakeries in Alabama.

WSFA-TV reports that the recalled items are: Winn-Dixie lemon bar cakes, Win-Dixie chocolate cherry bar cakes and Winn-Dixie iced cinnamon rolls in six-packs. Company officials say the items’ labels did not indicate that the products contained eggs and wheat, which can trigger allergies.

Winn-Dixie spokeswoman Mary Kellmanson said the company is offering full refunds to customers. The company issued the recall after a customer complaint.
