The Mound Bayou (Mississippi) Volunteer Fire Department has worked three fires within the past week which has led officials to believe arson as the cause.
An apartment building, a trailer with two cars and two other cars have all suffered extensive fire damage.
Mound Bayou Police Chief Simon Bush called the person or persons setting the blazes a “fire bug.”
Officials say it is still unclear if the fires are all related but the nature of the fires raises concern that an arsonist might be at large.
No injuries were reported at any of the fires.
