Two South Florida banks are recovering from damages after two cars crashed into them within minutes of each other.
Authorities say the first crashed happened around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday at a Washington Mutual in Deerfield Beach. The Broward Sheriff’s Office says an elderly woman accidentally hit the gas, ran over a curb and hit the bank’s facade. No one was injured in that accident.
About 20 minutes later, another elderly woman in Deerfield Beach lost control of her car and drove into a Wachovia. Authorities say the driver and several customers were sent to the hospital with minor injuries.
Their names have not been released. No charges have been filed.
