The University of Southern Mississippi’s Oral History and Cultural Center has put together a CD featuring recordings of personal stories related to Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
USM conducted more than 400 interviews for the project.
Center Director Linda Van Zandt says the “Surviving Katrina” CD is divided into six sections: “Heroism and Survival,” “An Altered Landscape,” “Response and Recovery,” Obstacles and Issues,” and “Coping and Lessons Learned.”
The Katrina Research Center is located in Long Beach.
