Three Florida metro areas are tops for fatal car crashes involving teen drivers around the holidays.
The Tampa Bay area, Jacksonville and Orlando rank first, second and third in the study released by the Allstate Insurance Co.
The insurance giant analyzed federal crash statistics and claims in major metro areas over the past eight holiday seasons to come up with the list of 50 teen-driving hotspots.
Rounding out of the top 10 are the metro areas of Kansas City, Mo.; Birmingham, Ala.; Phoenix; Las Vegas; Oklahoma City; Louisville, Ky.; and Richmond, Va.
The safest places for teen drivers during the holidays are Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Cleveland.
