Truck drivers, beware. The West Virginia Public Service Commission is conducting a mandatory road check for commercial vehicles.
Starting early on June 3, PSC enforcement officers will conduct nonstop inspections over a three-day period to ensure compliance with federal safety regulations.
Commercial vehicles and drivers will be checked at a northbound Interstate 77 weigh station and at rest areas on eastbound and westbound I-64.
Last year, 353 commercial vehicles were given full inspections and 77 unsafe vehicles were taken out of service until they came into compliance.
