Well I live in Concord and have meet Sallie one time. There’s no crime that a insurance agent can do in the course of his business that warrents killing someone over. I’m sure the investigator that she took the place of is feeling really bad now. Not saying anyone deserves to die, but it could have been that other investigator instead of Sallie. Yesterday they found her body in SC, and it has been identified as her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. There was alot of evidence in his office, in her car, and in his personal car that lead them to believe this guy killed her. That’s why they arrested him before she was found. Now he’ll get the death penalty over something he might have just spent a few months in jail for. So sad.
You’re right Melanie. I have been in the insurance business for over 30 yrs and I have never heard of an agent resorting to murder. It’s sad. Has you local papers been saying anything more about a possible motive? Which paper is carrying the story?
I am so sorry that Age Old Broker feels that way. There is NOTHING Sallie could have done that caused her (or anyone else, for that matter)to deserve this kind of action. If he wasn’t doing anything wrong in the first place, he would not have had anything to worry about. It would have been an investigation into a complaint and that would have been the end of it. To justify what he did by saying he had to defend his livlihood shows what kind of person you are! I hope no one is ever in that situation with you. You might want to try to go to church or at the very least, seek counseling. You are as sick as he is!
You’ve got to be kidding old broker. If you’re not, cml is right you need counseling. Do you have issues with women?
What if this happened to your wife, sister or mother? would you feel the same way?
You say you have been in a similar situation. What does that say about you?
I CANNOT believe what I am reading! “Strongarm” “do what I have to do” “got what she deserved” …what is this crap? That is nothing but “thug” talk. You guys are F@##ing NUTS!!!!
It appears I got to this party too late to see the posting that got everyone so riled up.
I hesitate to declare a man guilty before he’s been tried, but it appears there is enough evidence against him to indict and that in itself is bad news. We can only hope that the facts come out and that justice is done.
I feel for the inspector’s family. It’s always hard losing a loved one, even worse when it’s so violently.
I am relieved that IJ removed an offensive post. for the most part, I have found these discussions to be based on professional knowledge and mostly well thought out opinion. Occassionally we get a few highly vitriolic and emotional postings but for the most part it has been civil. I am appalled that someone has bemsmirched my profession because I am insurance proud and take this very seriously. the fact is though that greed raises its ugly head in every arena of our lives. My condolences and prayers to Ms. Rohrbach’s family and her friend at the DOI. this is such a senseless tragedy…
