Dread for President. Obviously MADD LIES likes to drink and drive a lot, probably thinks is a constitutionally guaranteed right. MADD LIES most likley has about 10+ DUI offenses so s/he projects his/her own problems/inadequacies onto a great program like MADD. It’s sad to see someone like MADD LIES actually promoting drinking and driving.

DUI is a meaningless crime. I see people damaged daily by people driving under the influence but no one does anything about it. We have a choice of punishing or preventing. We have the ability to do both but we would rather punish that prevent. This is stupid and cost society hundreds of millions of dollars a year. If there was a will, and half a brain we could completely eliminate DUI within a 3 year time period. But no, we would rather entrap people, deny their constitutional rights, pay fines and go to funerals. Why? Stupidity is the only answer I can offer.
The biggest problem we have when addressing this issue is anger – you see it here, everyone has lost a loved one because of alcohol abuse. No I am wrong about that. They have lost loved ones not because of alcohol abuse but because the automobile allowed the drunk to drive. If you are serious about solving this problem then cut the link between the drunk and the car. It’s simple and cheap, and solves the problem, so WHY NOT!
