State arson investigators are looking into a house fire that killed two people in Tennessee’s Cumberland County.
The Sheriff’s Department believes the home’s residents, Carol and Darrell Darling, died in the fire on Tuesday morning. The bodies were awaiting an autopsy for positive identification.
The Special Operations Response Team of the Tennessee Bomb and Arson Section of the Department of Commerce and Insurance was activated Wednseday to assist in the investigation.
The unit says it is sent out when a significant fire or explosion occurs and assistance is needed.
Officials say the home was engulfed in flames and reduced to rubble by the time they arrived.
