Considering the bastardization of our once respectable legal system the terms “bring them to justice” and “fair trial” have become tainted. Even in the face of overwhelming evidence, a trial can be littlem more than a personal challenge for a criminal defense attorney to convice a jury his client “didn’t do it”. This charade is carried out everyday in this country. Crafting questions so the jury only hears what they want it to hear. Suppresing evidence over technicalities. Making law enforcement jump through hoops to make a case. I’m starting to think the term “trial” actually means “try and get away with it”. Add to that the sympathy factor inherent in most juries that prevent them from making the tough decisions. I can hear the closing argument now. “ladies and gentlemen, my clients proudly serve their country in the military. Through no fault of their own, they found themselves unable to pay their mortgage because somebody told them they’d be able to afford it. Never mind their stupidity and personal responsibility to find a way out of this mess without committing the crime of arson and endangering the lives of others. Justice would not be served by convicting them.”

I hope you are wrong & they don’t get away with it.
I can see how the jury may have smypathy for them though.
I think I will follow this story & see what happens to them.

This is a bunch of jibberish from Aleshia who has no idea what she is talking about. Are you trying to sound intelligent and like you know what the court system is like? It is a crap shoot baby. In this case these two will be tried by a civilian court of law AND then HE will ALSO be handed over to the Military for trial and will undoubtedly lose the Staff Sergeant stripe he just found out he made after returning from his MILITARY LEAVE OF 3 WEEKS. He will be court martialed and have a nice long vacation in Leavinworth. Yes Alicia, people do have family in West Virginia and DO spend 3 weeks there. It was very ignorant of you to judge and put down the entire State of West Virginia just because of this couples desperate attempt at gaining insurance money from burning down their home. W.V. is a beautiful place with friendly people, so obviously you are not from there we can tell.
This young couple unfortunately committed a desparate act to find a better life of which they have now completely ruined. I know him, I don’t know her. He never struck me as the sharpest knife in the drawer, but it is just as wrong for all of you to judge a man until you have walked in his shoes, right or wrong. I get willies from the name DREAD too. I dealt with someone with that name once too, I dreaded it ever since!! Talk about what’s in a name!
    Pull your heads out people!

What is the outcome of the story about the couple that alledgedly committed arson on their home in Crestview, Florida? Did they go to prison and for how long? It was a man named Zachary Dalton and his wife Kellie Hahn.

to all whom were “concerned”…this case was apparently dismissed, or they were not guilty and they are still looking for the people who did this. they had a eye witness as to whom it was and they still have not been able to locate the truly guilty individual that tore these people’s lives apart. the newspaper articles exaggerated a bit…as usual…anyone think of that before posting such harsh statements about people you dont even know? but as for where they are now and how they are, anyone heard? i hope they are well…
