Gee, you would think a judge would know he should purchase flood insurance, wouldn\’t you. He should have well been able to afford it too so what is his excuse?
This is what we have in our courts to oversee lawsuits, etc.? That is downright scary.

Time for that judge not only to recuse himself, but to also quit being a judge. Obviously, he is not impartial and his \”judgement\” is being clouded by $$.

Smart enough to graduate law school, but not smart enough to know you need flood insurance if you live on the Gulf Coast?

Nationwide is dealing with someone who knows that there should be no coverage afforded but is trying to get it anyway. This is the worst kind of claimant. Some one who knows but does not care what his policy states. He is not stupid. He simply was not willing to pay extra for coverage that he thinks he will get anyway.
    Ah, America !

He probaly had flood. These attorneys are suing Home carriers even after getting full pay outs from flood carriers. On top of that I got a call in my office from an attorney to ignore any request from my home carrier for evidence of flood insurance on a mutual client. Or they will sue me for unlawful disclosure of client protected documents. When I said the carrier would win a look if they asked a judge, they agreed but said \”the harder we make it and the longer we drag it on the more likely they will settle.\” Sad, because he\’s right and the flood pay out was more than ample.

This is how it works in the south. Put stupid people behind the bench and allow frivolous lawsuits to be filed and then hold a gun to the insurance companies head. It\’s about time the insurance comapnies shoot back. Just withdraw from these \”third world\” states and let them self-insure. Maybe even counter sue for the frivolous nature of the suit.

Is there no such thing anymore? IF by chance he had already been paid via flood insurance, he has no business filing a lawsuit and (1) it should be thrown out, (2) he should have to pay all costs, (3) he should be fined for filing it. The same should apply to anyone who would do that. Also, until people starting filing complaints and grievances with the bar against attorneys and keep on them, nothing is going to change except for it getting worse. They certainly are not going to stop on their own and as long as they can continue, they will do so for $$$$ talks loud and clear!

We should not be suprised by this judges actions. After all he has probably been told his entire life how smart he is and how deserving and ENTITLED he is.Could he be related to Trent Lott Ha Ha
This is simply another example of legal elite-ism thats taking over our ountry. How would you like to have this fellow presiding over an E/O case your involved in. Yikes
Sounds like the good judge needs to learn to read his policies. arrrg
