My wife and I have substantial monies in this mess and no forthcoming information.
There was a phone number given out to get
more info. – 800-320-7135 but I guess that
now even that has been shut down. Did leave
message 2 weeks ago but no info. yet.
Where is the responsibility of the agents
that sold us these? We bought in Jan of
’04. MBC was in trouble way before that!!

There was a small article in the 08/31/05 Sun-Sentinel Business section re: a $10 million settlement that was reached with the former attorneys of MBC. Receiver Robert Martinez will draft a plan to distribute the settlements procedes. Do we just wait for this to happen or do we contact Martinez? Why do I get the feeling that the lawyers will be the only ones to benefit from this?

I would appreciate a straight-up answer. Have I lost my 25,000 investment of April, 2002? I didn’t realize until today that the judge had ruled in favor of the SEC. I was never told this.

You have to wait along with the rest of us….I\’m sure if anyone using this message board hears something they will let all of us know. I\’m still getting a statement from the company that has the investment listed in my account with them. But no actual news.

It was a fraud. How to name the way the information not only recorded bla, bla , bla, but the web page too, the \”sindico\” have given to all us ?
I was thinking the American Law was better than the Colombian one but….it is really worst: People in charge to settle this matters are the only winers.

Isn\’t it great that we all post these
comments and no one responds to our
plight? What can we do? I have no idea –
you go to the receiver\’s site and there
are no answers, at least for me, there.
My wife and I have $106,000 of our hard
earned retirement money in this mess and
no one explains anything. We have been
trying to get the State of New Hampshire
to investigate the \”agent\” who sold us
    these viaticals since last December.
    Nothing\’s been done there either!

Bruce, I happen to work with someone whose daughter worked for these low life criminal scum. The daughter is supposed to go to New York this week or next and testify against the company….which means that the slow wheels of justice must still be moving. I hope. But to put it in terms we all understand: we are all fucked. I really hope they nail the Dr., what a discrase to the medical system.

It looks like the receiver was able to take all that was left. Who is the bigger crook MBC or Garden City Group?

Lawyers and FTC benfited from this action. I was told that the fine would be kept by FTC instead of being distributed to policy holder. Garden City will not reply to anything. Tired to see my policy through them and what a surprise no bidders. So now they have taken it all. We are not allowed to seea ny info on where policies stand. We just take the word of attorneys
