The companies of the Foremost Insurance Group are extending all payment deadlines for customers in 25 Florida counties affected by Hurricane Charley.
Customers located in the following counties will have payment deadlines extended: Brevard, Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Dixie, Duval, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Indian River, Lake, Lee, Levy, Manatee, Monroe, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Pasco, Polk, St. Johns, Sarasota, Seminole and Volusia.
The extension applies to all Foremost customers with mobile home,
specialty dwelling, travel trailer, RV, motorcycle, and off-road vehicle
policies; and including those customers with American Federation policies. Customers will receive a reminder bill instead of a cancellation notice, when applicable, allowing for additional time to make a payment.
Foremost offered the payment extension to an additional 13 counties deemed disaster areas after the Florida Department of Insurance Regulation announced an emergency order for payment grace periods in 12 counties.
“We want to alleviate some of the stress our customers are facing as a result of Charley,” said Connie Nielsen-Bunn, Foremost account services manager, “and get their claims settled and their lives back to normal in a reasonable amount of time.”
