September 15, 2003

The 2003 International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) will spotlight the latest collision repair technologies, processes and techniques through special programs, including a new Aluminum Car Showcase, a new educational Claims Process Pavilion, and the popular Action Demo Arena during its conference Dec. 4-7 in Orlando. The showcase, pavilion and arena will be set up on the Exposition floor, among the more than 1,700 exhibit booths planned for this year’s NACE.

The Aluminum Car Showcase will display two new-model vehicles: an Aston Martin, made primarily of bonded aluminum, and a Jaguar with welded and riveted aluminum. The showcase will have information on all-aluminum construction, bonded aluminum panel innovations, carbon fiber structural components, aluminum re-construction, and new technologies regarding aluminum and the repair process.

The Claims Process Pavilion will feature the latest automated claims processing products, practices and technology. Exhibiting companies that provide hi-tech products and services geared toward processing claims will display, demonstrate and present live, on-site education programs using their products and technologies. The following companies are scheduled to participate in the pavilion (as of Sept. 10): ADP, ARMS, Auveco Products (Auto Vehicle Parts Co.), CCC, Chief Automotive Systems, Inc., Copart Salvage Auto Auctions, Inc., CSi Complete, Dent Estimators, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Fix Auto, Insurance Auto Auctions, LKQ Corp., Mitchell, NewEra Sotfware, OEConnection, Planet Salvage, See Progress, Sapulpa Auto Pool, and RV Marketing.

The Action Demo Arena, which had capacity crowds in 2001 and 2002, will have demonstrations on Structural and Acoustical Foam, Surface Preparation, Auto Glass Repair, Resistance Spot Welding, Hybrid Car Safety and Auto Glass Installation. Demonstrations will be held on Dec. 5 and Dec. 6, and will be videotaped and available for purchase. Each demonstration will last approximately one hour.

NACE 2003 will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, and is expected to draw an attendance of 30,000+ from around the globe. It will feature more than 45 educational sessions and an Exposition with approximately 500 exhibiting companies.
