Higginbotham has hired Steven Stick as senior loss control consultant in the independent insurance, risk management and financial services firm’s Dallas office.
Higginbotham’s control department serves customers throughout the state. The department helps businesses identify their property and liability exposures and develop strategies to improve safety, avoid claims, minimize financial loss and support regulatory compliance.
Stick comes to Higginbotham from Travelers Insurance in Richardson, Texas, where he was a technology risk control specialist. His 18-year career in loss control started in 1996 when he became the director of risk management for the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma. He also has worked for Commercial Insurance Services, Great American Insurance and Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.
Higginbotham complements the insurance coverage it places for businesses with risk management services performed by an in-house group of 26 professionals in safety, contract liability, risk management information systems and claims advocacy.
Stick’s broad experience in property, products liability, auto fleet, workers compensation and general liability exposures and controls will help businesses in diverse industries prevent accidents and increase regulatory compliance, the company said.
