Texas Mutual Insurance Company, a policyholder-owned company and a provider of workers’ compensation insurance, announced the hiring of Curtis Johnson, Jr. as vice president of claim operations. Johnson assumed his new role in September.
In this role, Johnson oversees all claim operations, including special claim services, employers’ liability, subrogation, regional claim operations, medical bill audit, claim adjustment and specialized catastrophic claim handling.
Johnson has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and most recently held the position of regional claims manager at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Irving, Texas. In this role, he was responsible for ensuring superior customer service, regulatory compliance and proper licensing, as well as achieving financial objectives and meeting educational requirements. Prior to that role, Johnson served in managerial positions at America First Insurance, Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Corporation and Travelers Insurance.
He has his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
