Oklahoma High School Football Gear Destroyed by Vandals

August 6, 2014

Oklahoma authorities are searching for vandals after high school football equipment worth thousands of dollars was destroyed.

The Grady County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday that Bridge Creek High School’s weight room and locker room were trashed over the weekend. Benches were slashed and cleaning chemicals were dumped on the floor. All of the team’s uniforms were cut and each of the footballs was stabbed.

A gallon of paint was spread around the coach’s office and the computer equipment was ruined. An office spokesman says the vandals even threw helmets at the ceiling to damage the air conditioning ducts.

School officials say it will cost thousands of dollars to repair the facilities and replace equipment.

Authorities have not released the names of suspects or a potential motive.
