Deputies say a 21-year-old Chatham, La., woman has been booked with arson following an investigation into a January fire at a mobile home she rented.
Natchitoches Parish sheriff’s deputies tell The Town Talk Ebony Sheree Hassen told officers she had returned from out of town to find her flat-screen TV had been stolen and that the master bedroom mattress had been set on fire.
Authorities say the mobile home was heavily damaged by smoke and heat.
Hassen turned herself in on Tuesday.
She was booked with arson with intent to defraud, insurance fraud and criminal mischief.
It was unclear whether Hassen has an attorney.
