GEICO, a member of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies, announced that Robert Miller, senior vice president, is returning to Dallas to head the company’s regional operation, the office he originally opened for GEICO in 1987. At the same time, Miller will continue to be responsible for GEICO’s national actuarial reserving and pricing and underwriting and product management activities.
Miller succeeds Gary Brown, who had served as regional vice president in Dallas since 2002 and will retire at the end of the month after 37 years with GEICO.
Miller, who joined GEICO in 1965 as an underwriter, has served as regional vice president of several GEICO offices, including Fredericksburg, Va., Virginia Beach, Va., and Woodbury, N.Y. He also helped launch GEICO’s Buffalo regional operation, headed the GEICO Insurance Agency and led the company’s re-entry into the state of New Jersey.
Miller holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation.
