Oklahoma’s school superintendent says as many as 56 public school sites were damaged by violent storms and floods that ripped through the state in May.
Superintendent of Public Instruction Janet Barresi said Friday that three sites in Moore and the El Reno campus of the Canadian Valley Technology Center were destroyed.

School districts that reported storm-related damage include Moore, El Reno, Mid-Del, Crutcho and Moss.
All seven sites in El Reno Public Schools reported damage from wind, water and large hail. Lincoln, Hillcrest and Rose Witcher elementary schools are temporarily closed because their roofs have been declared total losses from softball-size hail.
Mid-Del Schools reports damage to 22 sites. Damage includes water, wind and hail damage to roofs and flooding. Moss Public Schools and Crutcho Public Schools both experienced flooding.
