New Orleans, La., police say a man wearing a hood that covered his face used a cigarette lighter to set a large fire inside a fast-food restaurant where six employees were working.
All the employees escaped safely and no customers were inside the Raising Canes restaurant in Algiers when the fire started shortly before 10 p.m. EDT Friday. Police say 48 firefighters were used to contain the blaze.
Firefighters arrived to find the restaurant in flames. An employee who was in the dining room told authorities the man was wearing a hooded sweatshirt covering his face and carried a plastic gallon container containing a clear liquid. He walked over to a center booth, where he allegedly started the fire.
There were no immediate reports of any arrests.
