Police in Tulsa, Okla., are looking for a missing 700-pound sculpture of a girl reading a book.
Regina Christopher told the Tulsa World that the sculpture stolen from her front yard is worth about $17,000 and had been in a flower bed. Christopher says it was a Christmas gift from her husband in 2005 and disappeared last Monday.
The bronze sculpture is titled “Story Time for One” and is of a small girl lying on her stomach – chin in her hands – reading a book.
Tulsa Police Officer Jason Willingham says the item could show up for sale on the Internet or at a local business.
