Police say one person has been killed and two hurt after a Central Texas light rail commuter train hit a car during rush hour.
Capital Metro spokeswoman Eric McKewen says the accident happened Monday morning at a rail crossing in north Austin.
Authorities are trying to determine what led to the crash that killed the car driver and injured his two passengers. Police did not immediately release their names.
Emergency responders say nobody on the train has been hurt.
The train was hauling more than 120 people. McKewen says buses were used to transport those passengers to their destinations.
