Authorities say a 2-year-old boy wasn’t hurt when a man who may have been involved in a killing crashed his car during a police pursuit.
Officers told KLRT-TV they were investigating an unrelated case on Monday when they heard a gunshot nearby. They found a man dead and began pursuing a possible suspect.
Officers say the chase ended in North Little Rock, Ark., where the man wrecked his car. Police say they didn’t know there was a child in the car until the chase ended.
Authorities say they retrieved a gun that was seen being tossed out of the window of the car.
Investigators believe the suspect and the victim, whose name hasn’t been released, knew each other and were engaged in an on-going dispute.
