Oklahoma Woman Charged with Workers’ Comp Fraud

Pamela Gosney, 51, was charged with workers’ compensation fraud, according to the Oklahoma Attorney General Workers’ Compensation Fraud Unit.

According to authorities, Gosney filed a claim with the Workers’ Compensation Court on May 24, 2010, for alleged injuries sustained while working.

In March 2010, Gosney sought medical treatment for injuries to her left knee, left shoulder and left arm, stemming from an alleged work-related accident. During the investigation, fraud investigators observed on security video Gosney injure herself by forcibly running into a cart. Gosney later admitted to deliberately injuring herself to receive pain medication. After receiving more than $6,000 in benefits, Gosney withdrew her claim.
