Authorities say a man who fell from the third level of an upscale mall onto an ice rink has died.
Dallas Fire Rescue says that when firefighters and paramedics arrived at the mall on Tuesday afternoon, the man was unresponsive. Paramedics then took him to Medical City Dallas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Dallas Fire Rescue says the cause of the fall is not known. Dallas police say they are gathering information on the fall and have no additional information to release.
The man’s identity has not been released.
A call to the mall was not immediately returned Tuesday.
The ice rink is located in the middle of the shopping center, with the mall’s three levels overlooking the rink, which is below ground level and surrounded by restaurants.
