June 29, 2011

Little Rock police have arrested a suspect in at least two of the recent robberies that have left convenience store and fast food restaurant operators on edge.

Police said Tuesday that 22-year-old David Henry Johnson of Little Rock turned himself in on Monday. Investigators are continuing to look for 21-year-old Crashon Britton.

Despite progress in the cases, another robbery occurred at about 10:45 p.m. Monday at a Big Red convenience store on South University Avenue. Police say an armed man and an accomplice took money and fled on foot.

About a dozen stores and restaurants have been robbed in Little Rock in the past couple of months. Several suspects have been arrested, including a man who dressed as a woman and three women who dressed as men during robberies.
