A teenager suspected of starting a fire that destroyed much of Millennium Park last January has been indicted by a Calcasieu Parish grand jury.
Grand jurors handed down a simple arson indictment against 17-year-old on Tuesday. If convicted he could face from two to 15 years in prison.
The teenager was arrested 13 days after the fire.
The American Press reports the fire caused about $190,000 in damage to the Lake Charles park. It has since been torn down. A bigger park is scheduled to be built in the same location.
