The U.S. Geological Survey has recorded a 2.6 magnitude earthquake near Wellston in central Oklahoma.
No injuries or damage is reported.
The U.S.G.S. reports the quake was recorded at 8:53 p.m. on Jan. 18 about two miles southwest of Wellston and about 28 mile northeast of Oklahoma City.
Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest felt by people.
