The U.S. Geological Survey has recorded a small earthquake near Choctaw – just east of Oklahoma City.
The 2.6 magnitude tremor struck about 11:45 p.m. Sunday about two miles northeast of Choctaw and is the third earthquake recorded in the area in the past nine days. A magnitude 2.5 tremor was recorded Nov. 16 and a 3.0 magnitude quake struck Nov. 14.
No damage has been reported.
Quakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3 are generally the smallest felt by people.
