A Slidell, La., man has been issued a cease and desist order and hearing notice for allegedly acting as a public adjuster in Louisiana without a license.
Stanley Clarke Pore, 48, was served with a cease and desist order and a notice of an upcoming hearing by Department of Insurance Fraud Section Investigators for conducting business as a public adjuster without a license.
It is alleged that Pore was operating under the company name Gulf Coast Claim Recovery when he entered into contracts to perform the services and functions reserved for licensed public adjusters in Louisiana. Gulf Coast Claim Recovery is also an unlicensed entity.
The hearing is set to determine whether or not there are sufficient grounds for the Department of Insurance to impose on Pore a $25,000 fine.
