As far as the Patriot Act, I am not trying to become a terrorist, nor am I speaking out against my Government or Counrty, there are no reasons that anyone would think that I am anything but a Patriotic American, so where does that leave me?
Based on your logic, you dont break any laws therefore you dont care whether or not the laws are fair?
So if they decide to murder people in public without a trial, you dont care, because its never gonna happen to you, because you dont break any laws.
Thats fine logic, Im sure they will never come for you, just keep your mouth shut and pay those taxes, im sure the govt has your best interests in mind.

FYI… Assistant U.S. Attorney for New Hampshire Mark Zuckerman spoke about the ways in which he is able to work with the Patriot Act as a federal prosecutor for the state. He said that though there has been some gross misuse of the Patriot Act, many of its provisions are sound. “The Patriot Act does not throw the Bill of Rights out,” he said. “It does not erode previous rights; instead, it rides on top and adopts them.”

As for Me, I support our Government for all that they do to minimize terrorist activity within our borders, including but not limited to the outlines as indicated in the Act, which can be read in it’s entirety on-line via the Library of Congress. Be sure to read all 4 versions to get the most of your experience.
Just because some individuals (with or without power) have used the Act in a way that it was not necessarily intended, it doesn’t mean that it was not set up as protection for the American public or to help sustain our way of life. Just because there are agitators at the ACLU (that’s their job by the way) that want to instigate more problems than actually resolve one, is not my fault, nor is it the fault of those in our Government that passed the Patriot Act.
Take into consideration one last thing before I sign off too… Morphine is a good drug in the right hands, but in the wrong hands it becomes an addictive substance that ruins lives… consider that everything is good in good hands… it’s the bad hands that took hold of something & distorted the good that it could do! It doesn’t mean that it is no longer good, it just means that someone bad has adolpted it to be their own – kinda like your rant!
So now I close with my last response directly to you on this matter. Each & every American is entitled to their own opinion & I am of the opinion that it is in fact you who have the problem, perhaps because you may be in violation or know someone that is & are in fear of being discovered… Have a nice day! :’)
