Texas-based JI Companies (www.jicompanies.com) has entered into an agreement with Cypress Care (www.cypresscare.com), a pharmacy benefit management (PBM) company focused exclusively on serving workers’ compensation programs.
Under terms of the agreement, Cypress Care will facilitate the acquisition of authorized medications for injured workers, manage and drive down prescription costs, and enforce formulary guidelines.
“We are continuously looking for ways to help our clients bring down the cost of treating their injured workers,” commented Ken Kirk, claims manager for JI client Texas Association of Counties. “After conducting a thorough analysis of PBM’s, we concluded that Cypress Care’s innovative cost containment solutions would be in our clients’ best interests.” JI projects that many of their clients will save up to 50% leveraging the Cypress Care program.
