Innovative Risk Management Chooses Duck Creek Technologies for Specialty Program Administration Market

January 6, 2004

Duck Creek Technologies, Inc., a provider of product management software and services to the insurance industry, announced that Irving, Texas-based program administrator, Innovative Risk Management, Inc. (IRM) has selected Duck Creek’s EXAMPLE Platform.

IRM will implement the entire Duck Creek product suite including: EXAMPLE Express, EXAMPLE Author, EXAMPLE Server, ManuScript Templates, and Example TransACT.

IRM is an insurance industry services provider offering complete insurance program management with services including: underwriting, policy issuance, claims administration and loss prevention services. IRM provides services for captive programs, risk retention groups, self-insured clients, insurance companies and public entities.

As an industry services provider, IRM required a technology that enabled them to quickly develop, deploy, and maintain new carrier programs and products for both ISO- and NCCI-based Commercial Lines, as well as for specialty products. Additionally, IRM needed support for Web-enabled submissions and policy processing and improved capabilities for capturing data for analytical and reporting needs.

Jami Galvan, IT manager with Innovative Risk Management, noted “During our evaluation process, we did our due diligence by looking at a variety of vendor solutions. Duck Creek really stood out due to their technology, breadth of capability, and the flexibility built into their product. With the EXAMPLE Platform solution we are able to provide more product and service options and can tailor them specifically for each of our carriers. And, needless to say, the Web capabilities are a must have in today’s e-business insurance world.”

Wendy Corman, Duck Creek’s vice president of Business Development added, “We are very pleased to have been selected by a large insurance industry services provider like Innovative Risk Management. The IRM decision validates Duck Creek’s place as a viable solution provider to the specialty insurance program administration market, and we anticipate building a significant presence in this segment of the insurance industry.”
