Gallagher Bassett Names Chatterjee Chief Information Officer

Gallagher Bassett named Saugata Chatterjee chief information officer.

Saugata will lead Gallagher Bassett’s technology strategy and architecture.

Russ Pass, former chief information officer and current executive vice president, will now focus on the claims experience as chief operating officer for the company’s North America claims operations.

Saugata joined Gallagher Bassett in 2025 as senior vice president of application development and maintenance.

Before Gallagher Bassett, Saugata was the technology product line lead for Health Care Service Corporation’s commercial claims line of business. He also has experience at Deloitte.

Gallagher Bassett is an Illinois-based insurance, risk management and consulting company.

The Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. subsidiary employs more than 5,000 people.
