Insight Specialty Programs Announces New Appointments

New York-based Insight Specialty Programs (ISP), a developer and marketer of insurance, non-insurance and telematics products and services, announced the appointment of Thomas Harms as president and Michael DiLoreto as chief operating officer.

With offices located in New York and Dallas, ISP has launched a complete line of unique products and services designed to meet emerging exposures.

“I am delighted to take the helm at ISP,” said Harms. “With the rapid pace of today’s technological innovations and the related impact on society, it is exciting to be at the forefront of designing solutions for our clients’ new, emerging exposures.”

Since Harms joined ISP in 2009, the company expanded its product offerings from identity theft, mechanical breakdown and auto and home warranties to include a wide array of specialized, niche products such as driving while distracted exposure control and warranty coverage for mobile phones and tablets.

Prior to joining ISP, Harms was senior vice president at Aon Benfield Fac’s program division. Throughout his career, he served in various positions at Braishfield Associates, Ardent Risk Services, G.L. Hodson & Son and Alexander Re. He began his career at Liberty Mutual.

With more than 30 years of experience as a retailer, wholesaler, insurance company executive and a reinsurance intermediary, DiLoreto has an extensive background in property, casualty, life, health, annuity and structured reinsurance and insurance programs.

He serves on the Board of Directors of Southwestern Insurance Information Service (SIIS) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University.
