Another insurance company backed study in order to request rate hikes. Now we are going back to global warming. It is amazing what favorable outcomes these studies can have when you you have the proper funding. Best science money can buy. Of course now you can lobby to increase the rates and dilute coverage.
    What’s new?

@ George – I hate to burst your bubble, but insurance rates are controlled by state insurance departments and based on historical data, not bogus “climate change” forecasts. They are not based on future possible occurrences. And speaking of “best science money can buy”, that is exactly what the fraudulent “climate change” (previously known as “global warming”) is based on.

Johnston, You see I am from Florida and know that these studies allong with historical data are used to lobby for increased rate hikes. It’s all on what spin you put on the data. These studies are brought up on the floor in Tallahassee. They are currently trying to push through surplus lines insurance that will not be controlled by the state insurance department. Every year you get, “we are leaving the state unless you let us increase rates and dilute coverage”. We have been hurricane free for over 5 years and approximately 10 carriers have had problems staying afloat. The state is turning a blind eye to carriers claims practices for the good of having more companies competing in the market. At some point there won’t be problems to get insurance because Joe public will have to pay high rates for less coverage. This is partially due to studies, that with the proper spin can get you results if you preach it enough. I am sorry if I upset you but i see it as shoveling the same manure to the public.

“The frequency and damages associated with weather catastrophes are expected to increase due in part to manmade climate changes…”

Hey ClaimsJournal, do you know that the lies are lies and are repeating them anyway, or are you just not aware that the lies you are repeating are lies?

Either way, you look pretty sketchy. http://www.ClimateDepot.com

Mention climate change and the trolls come out. Instead of proposing how to deal with the problem of rising rates they just deny the cause.

Given the problem insurance companies are having raising rates and the inability to deny coverage to extreme risk properties, companies walking away from some states is looking inevitable.
